1981 | Trans Tech converts golf ball industry from hot stamping to pad printing with ground breaking technology for applying images to random dimple patterns. |
1984 | Trans Tech introduces high-speed rotary gravure process to syringe printing. |
1990 | Sealed ink cup technology is introduced. |
1992 | Trans Tech moves to its current location in Carol Stream, Illinois. |
1995 | Trans Tech acquired by ITW (Illinois Tool Works) and begins designing and building its own line of machinery and accessories. |
1997 | Trans Tech’s founder, John Legat, dies in a vintage automobile racing accident. |
2000 | New equipment for developing, stripping, and exposing thick steel plates. |
2002 | Silicone pad production begins at the Carol Stream facility. |
2007 | New SpaceFrameTM and ExpressLinerTM disposable ink cups generate significant cost and time savings. |
2008 | Trans Tech On-DemandTM digital inkjet business unit is added with InDecsTM and Image LTTM series. Unveiling of the AeroTM series of pad printers. |
2010 | First US company in the industry to become ISO 9001:2008 certified. |
2018 | Became ISO 9001:2015 certified. Unveiling of the SealCup Express & Pneumatic Express pad printers. |
2020 | Trans Tech and sister IDS brands reveal global “Trusted Partner for Product Decoration” position with dozens of internal process projects designed to further enhance efficiency, expertise and reliability. New logo and website. |
